At Sunshine we spend a lot of time and energy planning events and activities that extend beyond the skiing and riding experience.

We believe that a big part of the employee experience is the opportunity to socialize and enjoy some of the incredible advantages living in the Bow Valley has to offer.

Expect various weekly activities and events ranging from overnight and day ski trips at surrounding resorts, to night skiing and NHL hockey games. Click here to see a staff events calendar from the 2006/2007 season (PDF).

Events are planned with the staff, FOR THE STAFF.

Employee skiing and riding benefits.

All full time staff ski and ride free at Sunshine and over 12 other amazing resorts.

Wages

Sunshine Village is a 7 month winter season employer. Our wages and benefits are competitive with other ski areas in Alberta. Regardless, the decision to work for Sunshine Village should not be for financial gain. What we can offer is the unique experience of working at one of Canada's premier ski resorts. In addition, employees can take away an impressive work reference along with the satisfaction of having completed a full seasonal work contract and hopefully leave with a few skiing and snowboarding tricks under their belt!

The majority of our positions start at $8.50 per hour. Employees who earn up to $9.00 per hour are eligible for a 50 cent merit increase after 3 months.

bonusIn addition, all staff who are in grades 5, 6 and 7 receive an additional 75 cent per hour bonus providing they complete their seasonal contract. That will translate into a bonus of approximately $700.00 (after taxes). Bonuses are paid out on final pay cheques.
