Dear Sunshiners
Thank you for your help in keeping us open this season! We appreciate all of you who have abided by our COVID policies on the mountain. We started the 2020/21 ski and snowboard season with the goal of staying open to our May 24th closing date. At Banff Sunshine, we believe outdoor recreation, such as skiing and snowboarding, is essential for mental health and wellness.
With Alberta now in the third wave of Covid-19, AHS has announced new restrictions that affect our indoor dining and warming structures. Effective April 12th, we are no longer permitted to allow guests to sit inside a public restaurant, common area, or warming shelter (Sprung Structure) without a mask on. This change means that we can no longer allow guests to eat indoors in any public space. This includes picnic lunches as well as food prepared fresh at our resort.
With the introduction of the new restriction, all food & beverage, whether brought from home or purchased at the resort, must be eaten outside. We have outdoor seating available at our Centennial Snow Garden and at Trappers.
Our lodges, including our Sprung Structures, will remain open for you to come in and warm up quickly. As eating is no longer allowed, we ask that you leave your bags outside while warming up.
Staying at Sunshine Mountain Lodge? Guests of the Sunshine Mountain Lodge may still order room service and can eat in their hotel rooms.
From our Sunshine Family to yours, thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate this season! With your support, we can continue to enjoy Canada’s Best Spring Skiing, right up until May 24th.
