Now Open for the 2020/21 Winter Season!
Winter is here! Woohoo!
The wait is over Sunshiners! On November 9th, 2020 we welcomed the return of winter fun on the slopes of Banff Sunshine Village. We are thrilled to see you back scoring fresh turns on Canada’s Best Snow after 7 long months!
This winter, while at Banff Sunshine Village, wear your face covering on all lifts and buildings, observe safe social distancing, and follow directional signage. We greatly appreciate your help in keeping our mountain resort safe and healthy. To learn more about what will be different on the slopes, visit our 2020/21 Operational Guidelines.
At present, we have Angel Express, Strawberry Express, Wolverine Express, Wawa and Jackrabbit opened, a magic carpet, and our gondola for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy. We are working to open more terrain as soon as Mother Nature and Ullr allows us to do so.
For riders eager to get their park flow back, we have a 20 rail and box feature terrain park on Strawberry.
Discounted lift ticket prices are in effect until more lifts open up. You can pre-purchase your lift ticket here.
If you are coming to ski and ride on Remembrance Day, Banff Sunshine is offering free skiing to all active or retired members of the NATO military from Tuesday, Nov. 10th to Friday, Nov. 13 with proper photo ID.
Our Snow School, retail stores and select restaurants are now open to the public.
In the base area, Creekside and Java Station are serving breakfast and lunch daily. Java Express, Alpine Grill and Trappers are offering lunch and grab & go options in the Village. We encourage all guests to pack their own lunch and to check out our new picnic area in The Old Gondola Sliver located in the Village area.
Soon, the opening of our new sprung tents at Goat’s Eye and in the Village will provide Sunshiners with an additional 9,000 ft of lodge space. Stay tuned to our social media or subscribe to our Newsletter for the latest news and updates!
Sunshine Mountain Lodge, along with hotel amenities and restaurants will open for the season on Thursday, November 12th.
As always, we have our Sunshine Express shuttle busses running daily from Banff to Sunshine Village for all Sunshine season pass holders, Super Card holders, and anyone else with a lift ticket. This season, masks will be required to ride our Sunshine Express and our shuttle busses will be sanitized regularly for your health and safety. Click here to see our bus schedule.
