Sunshine Aurora Cam Now Live!

For many people, catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights is an activity on their bucket list. For many of us at Banff Sunshine Village, this can be crossed off the list. Thanks to the northern location of Banff, Alberta and the little-to-no light pollution, on a clear night during an Aurora event, Sunshine Village makes an excellent spot for viewing the Northern Lights.

And now, to give you a taste of what you are missing out on, we at Sunshine Village have set up an Aurora WebCam, and a live stream can be found on the Sunshine Village YouTube Channel. The camera is located at the Top of Wawa and overlooks Wawa Ridge.

Thanks to our friends at the University of Alberta, you can visit aurorawatch.ca to get a real-time update on the chances of an Aurora event happening in Alberta. To make things easier, you can sign up for email alerts so you know when to check out the webcam.
